Happy Thampikutty was born and raised in Bronx, NY. He came to faith early in life within the Indian Brethren church community. Throughout his upbringing, he actively engaged in various leadership, discipleship, and teaching roles within this close-knit community. Beyond his roots, he extended his ministry contributions to The Plant Church (Mahwah, NJ), Christian Fellowship of Long Island (Oceanside, NY), and Edge City Church in Mineola, where he was called into pastoral ministry and served as Discipleship Pastor.
Happy holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Mercy University (NY) and a Master’s in Biblical Exposition from Moody Bible Institute (Chicago). With an interest in Biblical counseling, he has also taken courses at CCEF’s School of Biblical Counseling. He works full-time as an occupational therapist, specializing in geriatric home-care.
In addition to his professional commitments, Happy shares his passion for biblical education as teaching faculty at New York School of the Bible, where he teaches intermediate courses on Expository Teaching and Preaching.
Deeply committed to fostering spiritual growth and community, Happy invests in discipleship, hospitality, and uniting people through the preaching and teaching of God's Word.
Beyond his vocation, Happy finds joy in diverse interests, from baking to indulging in movies and shows to mastering new board games. A Lakers enthusiast, he also savors culinary adventures, orchestrates family trips, plans block parties with his neighbors, and cherishes quality time with loved ones.
Happy's life is enriched by his marriage to Lisa and their two children, Judah and Zoe, accompanied by their beloved Holland Lop, Shadow. Together, they call Franklin Square, NY, home, where they create lasting memories rooted in faith and love.
